Truecats African Travels operates as a professional tour company based in Tanzania, offering safari experiences, Kilimanjaro trekking, beach holidays, and tailor-made travel packages.
These Booking Terms and Conditions are designed to ensure clarity, transparency, and a smooth travel experience for all clients booking safari or tour services.
By confirming any booking, the client automatically agrees to the conditions stated below.

Booking Terms and Conditions
1. Our contract: All bookings are made in Tanzania, with Truecats African Travels. By booking a trip with us you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and us) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis.
2. Validity: Booking is only valid once we send you the booking confirmation. Booking is not valid at the time of making payment. Only, once we send the booking confirmation is the booking considered a valid booking.
3. Deposit requirement: You are required to pay a deposit for your booking to be confirmed. Please note that different deposits amounts are required for selected trips.
4. Acceptance of booking and final payments: If we accept your booking we will issue a confirmation via email. A contract will exist between us from the date we issue the confirmation. Payment of the balance of the trip price is due before the departure date. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.
5. Prices & surcharges: Our trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing. We reserve the right to impose surcharges due to unfavorable changes in exchange rates, increases in transportation costs, taxes, or government action. If any surcharge results in an increase of more than 10% of the trip price you may cancel the booking within 14 days and obtain a full refund.
6. Your details: You must provide all requested details including full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, and any pre-existing medical conditions. Failure to provide requested details may result in additional charges or cancellation.
7. Health requirements: It is your responsibility to ensure that you are suitably fit to allow full participation and to obtain proper medical advice for health requirements. We have no liability for loss or damage resulting from health issues or entry denials.
8. Small groups & combination trips: Trips are guaranteed to depart with one fully paid traveller unless specified. Some trips are combinations of other departures.
9. Travel insurance: Recommended for all travellers. Your insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US $200,000.
10. Flexibility: The nature of this travel requires flexibility. Itineraries, schedules, and transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances.
11. Change of itinerary: We reserve the right to change itineraries. Before departure, major changes allow for a refund of the land portion or an alternative tour. After departure, additional costs from emergency alterations are covered by you.
12. Authority on tour: The group leader’s decision is final. Failure to comply with a leader's decision regarding safety or well-being may result in immediate dismissal from the trip with no refund.
13. Acceptance of risk: You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and involves personal risk. Your decision to travel is made in light of these risks.
14. Limitation of liability: We shall not be liable for damage or loss attributable to you, third parties, unforeseen circumstances (Force Majeure), or political disputes.
15. Optional activities: Not included in the trip price and do not form part of this contract. The contract for such activities is between you and the provider.
16. Claims & complaints: Complaints must be raised with the group leader immediately. Further complaints should be in writing within 30 days of the tour's end.
17. Jurisdiction: The courts of Tanzania have exclusive jurisdiction.
18. Severability: If any term is found unenforceable, it shall be severed while remaining terms continue to be binding.
19. Photos and marketing: You consent to the use of images taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes.
20. Privacy policy: Personal information is used for trip operations and marketing in accordance with our privacy policy.

The Farewell Ceremony: Customary celebration on the final day to present tips.
Currency: US Dollars (issued after 2013) or Tanzanian Shillings.
Direct Appreciation: Hand tips directly to staff members or use envelopes for transparency.
